The fine print,
kept clear.
How we handle your memories, the rules of using PhotoCheese, and the work we do to keep every gallery safe. Plain language, no surprises.
Security
Your guests’ photos are irreplaceable. We protect them with encryption, careful access controls, and reputable infrastructure — and we give you the controls to decide who sees what.
TLS 1.2+ in transit and AES-256 at rest. Photos are encrypted from the moment they leave a guest’s phone.
Hosted on leading cloud providers in secure, audited data centers with isolated environments.
Staff access is tightly scoped, logged, and gated behind mandatory two-factor authentication.
Galleries are redundantly stored with regular backups, so a single failure never loses a memory.
Controls in your hands
- Private by default — galleries are only reachable by people you share the link or QR code with.
- Password protection — add a passphrase to any gallery for an extra layer.
- Expiring links — set links to stop working after the event.
- One-tap delete — remove any photo, or an entire gallery, instantly and permanently.
Responsible disclosure
Found a vulnerability? We want to hear from you. Email [email protected] with the details and we’ll work with you to fix it quickly. We don’t pursue legal action against good-faith research.
Compliance
Our practices align with GDPR and CCPA, and we’re actively working toward SOC 2 Type II certification. We’ll keep this page current as that progresses.
We’re happy to explain anything in plain English.
