Every kind of celebration, one QR card.
Whatever you are throwing, the photos are already being taken — they are just scattered across everybody’s phone. Put a little card on the table and they all land in the same gallery instead. No app, no sign-ups, nothing to chase afterwards.

There is only one idea here, and it is small. A gallery has a web address. A QR code points at that address. Anyone who scans it opens a page in the browser they already have and can add photos to it — no app store, no account, no password, nothing typed. That one mechanism is why the same product works for a hundred and eighty wedding guests and for six people round a kitchen table, and why nobody has to be talked into using it.
Same gallery, seven different nights out.
The product underneath is identical. What changes is the timing, the plan you want and what people are likely to photograph — so each page is written for its own event rather than this one with the words swapped.
How many uploads does your event actually need?
Roughly half a room takes part, and each of those people uploads about five photos. That is the whole calculation, and it has held up across every kind of event we have seen.
Guessed low? You can upgrade at any point, including after the event, and you only pay the difference — nothing is lost while you do it. See the full plan comparison below.
Three things, whatever you’re celebrating.
Name it, pick a colour, set the date. You get a link and a printable QR card back in about a minute, whether the event is tomorrow or in eight months.
On the tables, by the bar, in the invitation, on the programme, pinned in the group chat. Guests point a camera at it and upload in three taps.
Every photo and video lands in the same gallery in full quality, yours to download and keep — and nobody had to be chased for a single one.
Have a look before you decide anything.
Every other app on this list hides the product behind a signup wall. Ours is open — go and poke around a real gallery the way a guest would, then come back.
One little card does the whole job.
Every gallery comes with its own card — download it, print a few, and put them where people will trip over them. Guests point a camera at one and they’re uploading seconds later, with no app store and no wifi password in the way.
This one is real: point your phone at it and you’ll land in our live demo gallery.
Want to design the card yourself? Our free QR sign maker turns any gallery link into a printable table card or welcome sign. It says “wedding” on the tin, but every word on the sign is yours to change — plenty of people use it for birthdays and leaving dos.

your photos
Put the room up on the big screen.
Cast the gallery to any TV or projector and the night plays itself back while it is still happening. A photo taken by the cake is on the wall a few seconds later — and seeing it up there is what makes the next fifty people upload theirs.
It shouldn’t all land on whoever set it up.
Somebody always ends up being the person who downloads everything. Invite anyone you like to help — they can sort, tidy and download alongside you from their own phone. Unlimited collaborators, free on every plan, including the free one.

Where your photos actually go.
You’re about to ask your guests to put photos of your wedding, your baby shower, your family on a website they’ve never heard of. That deserves a straight answer, so here’s ours — including the part we can’t promise.
There’s no guest sign-in — your link and QR code are the key. Everyone you hand them to can open the gallery, and we can’t tell one guest from another. If you ever want it shut, one switch in your dashboard takes the whole gallery off the web for everybody.
The link that opens your gallery is the same link that adds to it — we don’t check who someone is before their photo lands. You can switch uploads off from your dashboard at any moment, and Expert lets you approve every photo before it appears.
Every gallery page asks search engines to skip it, and our robots file blocks the gallery path outright. Link previews in WhatsApp and iMessage still draw their little card — that’s a preview, not an index.
We don’t train anything on your photos, don’t sell them, don’t advertise against them, and don’t use them as examples. There is no AI anywhere in PhotoCheese that looks at a single image. They’re stored, and they’re shown to your gallery.
Remove a photo and the file itself is erased from our storage — it isn’t just hidden from the page. Guests can pull their own uploads back the same way, without having to ask you first. The photo someone regrets is theirs to take back.
Uploads close first, then the gallery itself: a week on Free, three months on Pro, a year on Expert. We email you 15 days, 7 days, and 1 day before the end, and the files are wiped a month after that.
A link is a link. If someone photographs your QR card from across the room, or a guest forwards the link into a group chat, they’re in — and we have no way to tell them apart from someone you invited. There’s no password on galleries today. So put your QR code where your guests are rather than where the internet is, and if you want a closer eye on what lands, the approval queue on Expert is the tool for it.
Two smaller things we’d rather you heard from us. Photos arrive exactly as the phone took them, which means a photo can still carry the spot it was taken in — fine at a venue, worth knowing if a guest uploads one from their kitchen. We’re working on stripping that out. And each photo has its own direct file link: if someone saves that link, it keeps working for them until the file is deleted, whatever the gallery does in the meantime.
— Marina & Ivan
We’re Marina and Ivan. We started PhotoCheese after a friend’s wedding, where the couple spent weeks chasing guests in a group chat for photos they’d already taken.
It turns out that is not a wedding problem. It is what happens at every kind of party where more than about five people have a phone — and the fix is the same one every time: somewhere obvious to put them, while everyone is still in the room.

One payment, for one event.
Nothing here is a subscription. Start free if your gathering is small, and upgrade whenever you need to — including after the event, paying only the difference.
For one small gathering.
For the big ones.
For pros & big celebrations.

The questions everyone asks first.
It is a shared gallery your guests can add to from their own phones. Instead of one person collecting photos afterwards, everyone puts theirs in the same place while the event is still happening. The good ones ask nothing of a guest — no download, no account, no password — because every extra step costs you photos. PhotoCheese is that: a QR card on the table, a browser page, an upload button.
Not listed up there?
It still works, and we would rather say so than pretend a christening is a fundamentally different product. People use PhotoCheese for christenings and naming days, anniversaries, retirement parties, family reunions, quinceañeras, and bar and bat mitzvahs — the same card, the same gallery, the same three taps. The parties page is the closest fit for any of them, and it is where we would start. If yours is big enough to deserve a page of its own, tell us and we will write one.
PhotoCheese is made by Marina and Ivan, two people who started it after a friend’s wedding went missing in a group chat. Anything we haven’t answered here, ask us — a real person replies.
Whatever it is, the photos are already being taken.
